They were welcomed and led to inspect traffic management for the construction of the MRT Orange Line Project: Bang Khun Non - Thailand Cultural Centre Section by Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao, Deputy Governor (Engineering and Construction) of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand as the project director. Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao said that “currently, the MRT Orange Line Project has started to divert traffic lane in the construction area of ​​the 5 stations: Bang Khun Non Station, Siriraj Station, Democracy Monument Station, Yommarat Station, and Pratunam Station, from 10:00 p.m. on November 15, 2024, for public utilities relocation work, relocating sidewalks in some areas, and electrical installation work, by closing 1 left lane, except for Siriraj Station, which does not affect the traffic lane. For the remaining stations, traffic diversion will be carried out by the end of November 2024. During the construction, MRTA will closely supervise the operations of Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited as a concessionaire and CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited as a contractor of the concessionaire and emphasizes that the contractor must implement measures to reduce traffic impacts during construction, such as closing road lane as little as necessary, installation of clear signs and traffic signs in accordance with standards, provision of traffic volunteers at each construction site to facilitate public, and integration with relevant agencies, especially local police, to facilitate public and manage traffic as efficiently as possible during the construction period, continuously providing information to the public in advance through various channels.”. . : - . : - .
