MRTA together with Chulalongkorn University organizes activities to present research results on the use of AI to detect, warn, and prevent MRT right of way intrusion in order to raise the level of security in the MRT system area
27 September 2567According to the government and Ministry of
Transport have provided policies related to research and development of
technology and innovation, focusing on the use of AI (Artificial
Intelligent) systems as a tool for developing
infrastructure to improve public services, in response to such policies, in
fiscal year 2024, MRTA and Chulalongkorn University Academic Service Center,
Chulalongkorn University, have jointly conducted a research study on the topic
of "Development of an AI system
to detect, warn, and prevent MRT right of way intrusion". The
main objectives are to assess risk of intrusion in MRT system area and to
develop a detection and alert system using AI technology to detect, analyze and
classify intrusion incidents in the risk areas. The system
developed by MRTA and Chulalongkorn University can be used as a tool to support
operations in maintaining the right of way, inspecting and maintaining
security, and maintaining peace and order to reduce direct and indirect impacts
on MRTA and people in the area near the MRT system.
