On April 2, 2024, Miss Jiranan Vorachak, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) together with officers of Department of Operations of MRTA and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) welcomed the Senate Standing Committee on Transportation, led by Gen. Yodyuth Boonyatikarn, Chairman of the Committee to Wat Mangkon Station, The M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line for study visit to follow up the progress of the commercial development around the station. MRTA has included the goal of development of area in mass rapid transit network along with sustainable urban development under the principles of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), in the MRTA Corporate Plan Fiscal Years 2023 – 2027. MRTA focuses on using the station as transport hub and developing the surrounding area for maximum benefit for the community members and business in seeking sustainable income and supporting the growth of future cities.
