MRTA and Romsai Rescue Foundation sign MOU for disaster prevention and mitigation

On October 2, 2023, Mr. Pakapong Sirikantaramas, Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Mr. Vicharn Minchainant, President of Romsai Rescue Foundation signed MOU between MRTA and Romsai Rescue Foundation for disaster prevention and mitigation at Meeting Room 1, 9th floor, Building 1, MRTA.

The purpose of this MOU is to support and integrate the implementation on disaster prevention and mitigation in MRTAs mass rapid transit system area. Romsai Rescue Foundation which carries out rescue service duties in the areas along 2 MRTAs MRT line including the MRT Orange Line Project: Thailand Cultural Centre Min Buri (Suwinthawong) Section and the MRT Pink Line Project: Khae Rai Min Buri Section is willing to provide support on disaster prevention and mitigation and participate in operations to provide assistance and alleviate suffering to victims in the MRTAs mass rapid transit system area and MRTA is pleased to support knowledge and training related to disaster prevention and mitigation in the MRTAs mass rapid transit system area for staff and volunteers of the foundation and coordinate work in the event that a disaster occurs or is expected to occur. This aim to enhance the operations of both agencies to be efficient and to create confidence and safety for MRT passengers.
