MRTA joins the MRT Orange Line Project: Thailand Cultural Centre – Min Buri (Suwinthawong) Section to mitigate PM 2.5

     Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) as the organization responsible for the construction of the MRT Orange Line Project: Thailand Cultural Centre – Min Buri (Suwinthawong) Section inspected contractors’ compliance with measures on reduction of PM 2.5. MRTA assigned contractors of all civil works contracts to install water spray system, daily clean the road along the project by vacuum trucks for reducing the impact of PM 2.5, and strictly adhere to the dust emission measures as defined in EIA such as cleaning road on daily basis, cleaning vehicle wheels before leaving the construction site, inspecting machines/truck, and asking cooperation of contractors to halt construction activity generating dust.

     The construction of the MRT Orange Line Project is implementing as planned in order to reinstate public roads as soon as possible for improving traffic flow that is one of the solution for sustainably reducing air pollution in Bangkok and it vicinities.
