MRTA has prepared park & ride areas for MRT passengers who want to park their cars and take MRT subway to their destinations. MRTA has started park & ride service since August 13, 2004 and has been certified to ISO 9001:2008 since January 27, 2006.

 Park & Ride Locations

    Currently there are 12 park & ride areas including 2 parking buildings and 10 ground-level parking lots with total 3,000 spaces, located at 9 stations along the route of MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line as follows:

   1. Park & Ride Building, Lat Phrao Station (2,200 spaces)

   2. Parking lot, Ratchadaphisek Station (75 spaces)

   3. Parking lot, Huai Khwang Station (81 spaces)

   4. Parking lot, Thailand Cultural Centre Station (30 spaces) (only for monthly parking)

   5. Park & Ride Building, Thailand Cultural Centre Station (205 spaces)

   6. Parking lot, Thailand Cultural Centre Station (Soi Ratchadaphisek 6) (106 spaces) (only for monthly parking)

   7. Parking lot, Phra Ram 9 Station (Soi Ratchadaphisek 2) (50 spaces)

   8. Parking lot, Phetchaburi Station (54 spaces)

   9. Parking lot, Sukhumvit Station (33 spaces) (close on 11 September 2014 )

   10. Parking lot, Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Station (79 spaces)

   11. Parking lot, opposite side of Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (42 spaces) (only for monthly parking)

   12. Parking lot, Sam Yan Station (32 spaces)

Parking Fees (since April 1, 2013)

   1. The parking fee for MRT passenger is 15 Baht per 2 hours.

   2. The parking fee for non-MRT passenger is 40 Baht per hour (except Petchaburi Station, Sukhumvit Station, and Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Station 50 Baht per hour).

   3. The monthly parking fee for Park & Ride Building, Lat Phrao Station is 1,250 Baht per month and the monthly parking fee for other parking lots is 1,500 Baht per month.

MRTA Park & Ride Guide

   1. Entering park & ride, receive a smart card from the entry booth.

   2. M.R.T. passenger has to bring a smart card for discount recording within paid area of the destination station. The smart card cannot be recorded for discount at the station leaving car.

   3. Exiting park & ride, return the smart card and pay parking fee at the exit booth.

MRTA Park & Ride Regulations

   1. MRTA park & ride opens daily between 05:00 a.m. - 01:00 a.m. Overnight parking is not allowed, the violator shall be fined 300 Baht per day for MRT passenger / monthly member and 1,000 Baht per day for non-MRT passenger.

   2. If the smart card is lost, the driver shall be fined 300 Baht and declare car ownership reference before departing park & ride.

   3. Drivers in park & ride area must obey the rule of ministerial regulation in MRT system B.E.2547.

   4. Parking within prohibited area is not allowed, the violator’s car will be locked and the violator shall be fined 1,000 Baht for each violation.
