MOT by MRTA and Praram 9 Kanchanapisek temple organizes “Bike for King Rama X project in occasion of H.M. the King 6th cycle birthday on 28th July 2024”

          Ministry of Transport (MOT) by Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Praram 9 Kanchanapisek temple organized “Bike for King Rama X project in occasion of H.M. the King 6th cycle birthday on 28th July 2024” honoring the King where Mr. Sorapong Paitoonphong, MOT Deputy Permanent Secretary, Mr. Krichanont Iyapunya, Minister of Transport’s Advisor and MOT Spokesperson, Mr.Sarawut Songsivilai, MRTA Head of Directors, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, MRTA Deputy Governor acting Governor, MRTA executives and officers, Bangkok Expressway and Metro PLC (BEM)’s representatives, Eastern Bangkok Monorail Co., Ltd. and Western Bangkok Monorail Co., Ltd.’s representatives and 1,072 bikers participate in the project on Sunday 14th July 2024 at MRTA head office.

          The cycling route started from MRTA to Praram 9 Kanchanapisek temple for Buddhist Chanting ceremony before cycling through Wat Phra Ram 9 station (M.R.T. Orange Line) – MRTA station (M.R.T. Orange Line) – Praram 9 road – Phra Ram 9 station (M.R.T. Blue Line) - Din Daeng JunctionVictory Monument - Chitralada Royal Villa - Chitralada railway station - Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram temple – Royal Plaza – make a U – Turn near Makkhawan Rangsan Bridge and return to MRTA using the same route totally 24 Kilometres.

          This project was one of 9 MOT honoring H.M. the King projects which was the extension of royal projects for the well – being and happiness of Thai people. It was also the opportunity of MRTA to express gratitude and loyalty to H.M. the King. Moreover, there were the chance to encourage cycling as an exercise and strengthen relationship between people and government agency.
